I've heard some folks say the red one blows the gray one out of the water. I don't know if I believe it as I'm in love with my gray one. I don't see how it could be better. I nearly bought one last week to A/B with my gray one but chose not to. I'm interested in some opinions as well...

The Red ones have the following mods - the silver ones have some of the mods depending on the Serial #:

#1--lessen compression in distortion (most all GT's already have this).

#2--smoothen distortion (pre-gain treble reduction I believe)

#3--"Highs" control mod to reduce treble

#4--bass reduction for boost

Well I have a gray one coming in the mail is why I ask. Anyone try or own both??

I just emailed fulltone. I'll let you know if they send a reply. I wouldn't hold my breath on that one though. Anyone else out there?

Interesting.. It seems like I may actually enjoy the silver one more.

I didn't see this post before I emailed fulltone. Seems a little specific for a guess. I'd bet this is accurate. Thanks DSL.
