Members OldCrankyDouche 0
Just got my Vintage Reissue, and Ive got it set to medium gain. And then I use the SK Trinity to punch the RAT in the ass for more gain and tiighter gain. Overall, the combination sounds good, but Im thinking that a Fulldrive might be in order. What are you guys using with your RATs? Are you pre- or post-boosting (before or after RAT)? What kind of tones do you get?

Members space cred 0
yamaha OD-100 into the rat is f'ing godly. it's a relative unknown pedal, but I keep mentioning it on here to try and share the pleasure.

Members ollenorin 2
very weird how the rat reacts if u have it before or after another dirtpedal or boost..... what do u prefer and why ?
Members SirJackdeFuzz 0
Big Muff NYC Ri, into a Rat, works for me ! I prefer to fuzz up my over drive, and not over drive my fuzz.
Members matt the rat 0
Big Muff NYC Ri, into a Rat, works for me ! I prefer to fuzz up my over drive, and not over drive my fuzz. I'd think you'd have to run the fuzz after the overdrive, in that case.

I agree. I forgot about that. I will have to see how the SK sounds after the RAT.
Members Taylor704 0
Dano TOD into my RAT. Just gives it a lovely edge and sparkle on top of the distortion.
Members hilikus8 0
Bad Monkey into RAT, or RAT into BM, very different, both very useful. But my favorite combo ever would have to be a RAT boosting the Vintage channel of a Mesa Recto
Members pedmands 0
My new humble dirt section. BYOC Overdrive2 into a Rat clone. The OD2 does a helluva job rounding out the Rat's gain and seems to make the filter knob more effective.
Members OldCrankyDouche 0
Bump. Gonna be picking up an M9 very soon. Anyone using RAT>M9? Any other dirt in addition to the RAT? Pondering the idea of swapping my Silverkiss for a toobscreamer or something.

Members OldCrankyDouche 0
I wonder how the RAT model would sound with a boost in front. The more I think about it, the more I think I want an M13......

Members kidgloves 0
I'm thinking about stacking it with an English Muff'n, actually. Might be pulling the trigger on the tomorrow. I'll be sure to report back with the details should the plan come together.

Members Jules-RM 2
Barber LTD SR works great for me. Rat > LTD SR. Gives the Rat a little more low end.
Members ibentmywookie 0
I have my Rat in front of my Fuzz Factory. It gives the Fuzz Factory some more gain and bite. On some Fuzz Factory settings, it can cause an octave up effect to be super pronounced. I love the Rat + Fuzz Factory combo!
