Members jorhay1 4,919
How is the Mesa Boogie Recto Recording PreAmp compared to a pod or Axe FX for recording direct?
Members zygoat 0
I had one of those. It sounds like {censored} direct. I don't know why they call it a recording preamp. I put it through a POD for a cabinet model (left everything else turned off in the POD) and it was still {censored}ty. I hear they work great for a preamp in the traditional sense but do not get that thing thinking you can use it alone for direct recording. And yes I do like the rectifier toans but you are way better off using an Axe Fx to get that sound for direct recording.
