Phil O'Keefe
I was cruising around Analogman's site and I saw a link I hadn't noticed before - it takes you to a Boss serial number decoder site - type in your pedal's serial number, and out pops the month and year it was made. http://www.bossarea.com/serial/sndecoder.aspx Apparently my MIJ silver screw CE-2 was made in June of 1980. For some reason, I thought it was newer than that, but now I know. I've got a few others I'm going to check later. Anyway, it's a pretty cool site - check it out. Members Mind_Riot89
It's a cool site but old news. Still, it's how I managed to track down an analog CH-1 a few years back.
Members HeartfeltDawn
I typed in the serial code of my Metal Zone and the decoder laughed at me
Phil O'Keefe
March '83 for my PH-1r. Which also surprised me - I thought it was a MIT, not a MIJ. October '04 for my DS-1, and August '95 for my MT-2. Yes, I have a Metal Zone - it was a gift - HONEST!! I'll have to pull my PN-2 off the board to check the S/N, but it HAS to be early 90s. Members MathiasWilliam
Yeah, i checked out my pedals with this a while ago. One of my rv3's was early 93 the other being late 94. SD1 was 2001 or something. I should check my cs2 and LS2

It seems that ALL PN-2s were made in 1990... on the PN-2 page at Boss Area it says that manufacturing only spanned a period 10 months.
