Where do you put loopers in your signal chain...

The usual is to put it last, but I seem to be in a minority in that I generally place loopers towards the front of my chain...

usually I'll have dirt -> LOOPER -> delay/mod/reverb

I like to build up loops and then run that through my effects.

This is what works for me - i guess it all boils down to what kind of loops you're making.

I gave these examples in a recent thread on a similar topic:

I like to have a loop running and then kick on an effect (e.g. tremolo) to process everything...

or have a loop+guitar running through a big reverb/delay and then turn the reverb/delay OFF so everything is suddenly really dry...

I find doing this sort of thing allows me to create dramatic, dynamic effects.

Yea that ones thing I don't like though I'm using my dd-20 for looping and I don't like that whatever effect I turn on/off alters the already recorded sound

So would I put it after distortion and before everything else to keep the recorded sound wet but be able to use a different effect ?

i put mine at the end of the chain.

however sometimes i'll put it before my Pog,

so i can use the pog to maniplate the loop.

just wish i could get a really cheap/reliable looper

so it would go Looper ->Pog->Looper.

That sounds really good for what i would like to do.

So is your pog after all of your delay and modulation too then?
