Members english_bob
What's the problem? I see a very tweakable distortion box and no reason to suspect that it sounds bad.
Phil O'Keefe
Yeah, I'm not sure what you're saying here... I have not tried that particular product, but in my experiences with some of their other products, the Joemeek stuff has generally been pretty cool. Did you try it and not like it? Members orourke
It is a bit large, since Joe Meek started making stomps they haven't seemed to care about appealing to guitarist with footprint concerns. I might have tried their equalizer stomp if it wasn't so big. I use a Joe Meek British Channel in my home studio and I like the fat sound it gives to vocal and bass tracks. Did you try it and not like it? +1 to both of these posts. All of the Joemeek stuff I've used has been pretty good so I imagine this would be too. I actually started a thread about this (and also their compressor pedal) back in 2009. I'm interested in the gbQ pedal as a general purpose instrument processor; it could be good for all sorts things inc. guitars, bass, keyboards, electro-acoustic instruments etc... If it wasn't for the patchy UK distribution, relatively high price (even though it is in line with comparable products) and the fact that I don't NEED it, I would probably have bought one by now. Members Inazone
Looks like a great idea to me. I've often had distortion pedals with great EQ sections that I wished could be turned on/off independently of the distortion, rather than two separate pedals. The extra tweaking options on the GBQ look interesting, assuming they actually translate into useful tones.
Members 1001gear
First I've heard of it. Apparently this thing is a couple years old. No good demos either. All the initial stuff feature very unnatural/approaching tweezy, tone. Very odd for a Joe Meek product.
Members One Man Banned
I'd be willing to give it a try...although I'd have to say I'm probably more interested in the Empress Multidrive.

Members PKTrono
i've been curious about it since they put it in the sweetwater catalogue, but overdrive/distortion has never really been my thing. seems extremely flexible, it might make sense to get it if you want an all-in-one box that can grok a lot of different flavours, instead of owning 38294 dirt pedals for every application. that's provided it sounds good
