INCOMING: WILSON Freaker Wah

The Crybaby I had since I first started died a couple years ago, but never really wanted another. Generic wah usage is annoying.

Happened to line up a trade for the Freaker Wah.

The demo on youtube really "wow'd" me.

Sounds like it can do more than just wicka wicka wicka wah wah.:thu:

I'm imagining using it with a Line Selector as a clean blend to make ambient swelling tones.

Anyone every play one?

Got it a while back....pretty cool wah.
Not very traditional....but great for swells, sweeps,
and cocked Q wah tones.

That sounds good to me. I may have to pick one up in the near future.

awesome pedal!!

But you have to know hat to expect! Forget "Streets Of San Franciso" strumming. The Freaker gives you a more Iommi or Wino like tone. You can really completely "drown" the tone and gradually let it come back, a bit like a very sharp filter in an analogue 70ies Synthesizer. Actually I found my self playing more the effect and less lines when soloing after switching from a Cry Baby to the Freaker. If you spend some time rehearsing how to use the pedal (a lot happens in the first 5% of it's overall way) you will find out that it's a bit like a musical instrument in itself.
