So... I bought a AD9 today...

I've never heard of a delay that IS battery friendly. Nature of the beast.

 

Have you looked into powering your pedals with one of those eneloop things? The rechargeable red witch pedals may be of interest to you too.

 

I loved the sound of the ad9 though hated the switch.

It's still a great soundind delay, but honestly, nowadays with the tons and tons of booteek peds out there that do same thing only 'better' (i.e. longer delay times plus maybe some extra modulation gizmos, stereo, etc...)...There's impo not much reason to hang on to not-so-cheap classic circuits like the AD9 or DM2...

thus the prices going down. the were like $300+ and now they go for a bit above $200 at the cheapest now. the dm2s do, the ad9s are chaeper
