Members Agreed
Used to like the 2mm gator grips but now they occupy a weird place where they feel flimsy and yet have no flex at all, and their shape isn't awesome. Once you're playing 2mm+ there's gonna be pick noise unless the plastic is soft, and that is not, so after going into boutique picks up to my neck the gator grips seem like the worst of both worlds - lack of flexibility in the thicker models I am willing to play but without the accompanying huge variety of well-thought-out shapes. Plus they never feel right in your hand 'til you wash that crap off

Members bkd
gemstone seems to be my sound I know what you mean. I have a few Stoneworks, which aren't necessarily gemstones, but stones nonetheless. They both give really great planky attack and bring out so much life in the strings. My only gripe with them is that they tear up the windings on the strings when strummed since I have a really heavy hand. I usually get all my use from those picks before I change strings. Members Harvester1199
guys who like jazz III picks but find them too small and want a little more feel/give and something durable and easy to hold on to the perfect pick is the Dunlop ultex sharp or blackfang, same tip shape, better material! Members eti
Not much to do with teh OP, but I just started using these Stainless steel .63mm I sharpen the edge, just like I do with non-metal picks.
