It sounds great - it does exactly what you'd want it to - the JCM800 overdrive sound at low volumes for recording or playing without pissing off your neighbours.

 

I had an '81 JCM800 2204 50W head, and I loved it, but believe me that thing didn't sound good until at least 3 on the Master and that point you were seriously loud. Not for home use.

Man, that would be awesome. I still can't get rid of my 2204, but I sure can't use it like I used to be able to when playing live.

 

 

Hell yeah. I don't play out, so there is no point in me getting an 800. I really hope that the DSL15 sells well so they consider 15w JMPs and JCMs in the near future.

My 2204 into 2 4x12 cabs is my bedroom rig. I usually run it around 3 or 4.
