Take a listen to my rough recording

This is a song I've been toying with for awhile and I got a really rough recording of it awhile ago and I'm not set on which direction I want to take it. Recording was just the built in mics on my Tascam DP-008. There's some mistakes and timing issues, which I don't care about at this point. Do you think I should add a beat or bass or electric guitar or should I keep it just a lone acoustic with my voice on it later? If I do add a beat, should I just get a shaker or something like that or do a full kit? Any and all advice would be appreciated, it's been too damned long since I've finished a song or done any recording. http://soundcloud.com/jason-yost/very-rough-idea

Sorry dude, but it's not much of a song untill you at least add some vocals.
It's just a handfull of open chords now, a bunch of pretty common chord progression:idk:

Hard to give an opinion on the rest of the arrangements untill we know what the voice and lyrics sound, that'll pretty much be a deciding factor for the style and vibe of the song...sorry:idk:
