Effects that don't sound incredibly cheesy on acoustic?

I think they are incredibly rare but all I can think of that doesn't sound ridiculous as in 80's era chicago is a dash of slapback delay and reverb.

I've got the K&K thing on my acoustic and it oddly does handle low gain overdrive pretty well, and maybe really subtle chorus warble

Anything else? I want to try some different modulation I think.

A pedlol thread dedicated to the crybabies.

Love,

Dustin

Fully agree. That album is fantastic. JM used fuzz with acoustic as well.

Good thread. I've been wondering about using effects with my acoustic to spice up my P&W gig. poke.gif

Yes, and yes.

Practically anything can sound good on acoustic - in the right context. smile.gif

Phase shifting can sound nice. Chorus is a natural. Tremolo. Delay and reverb too. Oh and don't forget fuzz for that acoustic through a fuzzed out el cheapo preamp Neutral Milk Hotel sound. wink.gifwave.gif
