Hey i was wonderin some of u could give me some advice for a good amp under the 1000 dollar mark i was considering these heads in no particular order

 

Peavey XXL

 

peavey joe satriani

^^(a little over the mark) ^^

 

peavey valveking

(did any of u try it yet its an all tube amp for about 500 buks)

 

randall rm 100m

 

marshall avt150H

 

i play mettalica Killswitch engage led zeppelin and everything in between but for the most part metal esque things

 

i want heavy and thick bottom end high ringing highs also i would like to be able to achive Pinch harmonics easier wheteher it be by more gain or what not

 

i wish that i could get something like a mesa or a hughes and kettner but financially, thats just a dream right now

 

 

i wanted to pair one of those heads with one of these cabs

randall XL Titan

 

 

what would u suggest on the heads/cabs? thanks

If you're patient, you can find a Mesa MKIV for $1000 or less.

you realize that the randall RM100 doesn't come with any preamp modules... you'd need to buy those as well.

of those amps, the JSX probably gets the most praise, and is the most versatile.

the randall100rm comes with your choice of 2 sets of 3 modules when u get it from a dealer
u dont get to choose any 3 but 2 sets of three so it would be still under a grand

well bud if you only want to play metal really may i suggest a 5150. as for the best 'bang for buck,' the XXL. and while i like my XXL quite a bit, the best of that bunch would probably be the JSX

nope... it's a grand for the empty head, even at MF.
