Members brake Posted October 3, 2005 Members Posted October 3, 2005 I'm thinking on picking up a relatively cheap practice amp, possibly a Roland Cube 30. Does anything compete with the Cube 30 as far as features/tone/value?
Members branjispad Posted October 4, 2005 Members Posted October 4, 2005 i have a 30, may get a 60 but its killer def worth the $
Members cobrahead1030 Posted October 4, 2005 Members Posted October 4, 2005 what's your budget? i'm really happy with the peavey valve king i just got, but they're not for everyone
Members DirtyChains Posted October 4, 2005 Members Posted October 4, 2005 If you want a SS practice amp the Cube 30 is a great choice. You get JC cleans and many distortion options, along with effects. It is plenty loud for any house or apartment. I actually have 2 at the moment due to some trading. If you are interested in a like new one let me know.
Members DenverDave Posted October 4, 2005 Members Posted October 4, 2005 If you can find one, a Waller DFX (Wedge) 50 is a killer practice amp! I have one and love the tone and the tons of features packed into a small package. Problem is they are not easy to find. If you can find one - get it! Otherwise - the Cube 30 is good, or there are dozens of killer sounding smaller Peaveys on eBay or in used gear shops you can pick up for a song. Dave
