Members code_blue Posted October 13, 2005 Members Posted October 13, 2005 I personally would choose a Gibson Les Paul Studio. Your turn!

Members JamesPeters Posted October 13, 2005 Members Posted October 13, 2005 Yamaha RGX520FZ. If the others of this model sound as good as mine, this guitar is really going to turn heads.
Members satannica Posted October 13, 2005 Members Posted October 13, 2005 Personally, I would go for a Peavey 5150 again. Damn I loved mine!

Members JamesPeters Posted October 13, 2005 Members Posted October 13, 2005 Originally posted by Sty1es Whats up with the tuners on those? Nothing, really. They're Grovers but with knurled tubular pegs. I haven't seen Grover offer that as an option but the tuners feel exactly the same as the Grovers on my Heatley (except for the pegs themselves). The pickups aren't even bad. Although I'm replacing them with Duncans of course. The top is just for show--it's 1/32" thick. But it does make the guitar look slick. The sound is fantastic. I look forward to trying more of these, and the opaque version (the other model in that line which is a bit cheaper yet). If others sound this good, I'll be buying at least one more and putting different pickups in it (Filtertron type or something).Oh, and the hardware is actually metal with chrome, not plastic with chrome paint. The knobs are also not the solid types which are super heavy, but have chrome outsides and nice nylon inserts. (I hate it when the knobs add over a pound of weight to the guitar...) For an inexpensive guitar, it seems a lot of thought was put into this.
Members Angry Grimace Posted October 13, 2005 Members Posted October 13, 2005 Another Wolfgang. Mine rocks.
Members potaetoes Posted October 13, 2005 Members Posted October 13, 2005 i'd get a les paul studio lite. oh wait, i just did!i guess i'd get another one.
Members Mrmot Posted October 13, 2005 Members Posted October 13, 2005 Originally posted by code_blue I personally would choose a Gibson Les Paul Studio.Your turn! +1 i got mine '00 LP studio mint with OHSC and grovers for exactly 700$
Members GiantBunnySuit Posted October 13, 2005 Members Posted October 13, 2005 with $700, i would probably try to find a used les paul mahogany. those things reaaally turn me on
Members goat0063 Posted October 13, 2005 Members Posted October 13, 2005 Yamaha SG700. Had one once and sold it as I have too little space.
Members LordOVchaoS Posted October 13, 2005 Members Posted October 13, 2005 I'd have to say a Peavey V-type or a used Ibanez RG7620.
Members LordOVchaoS Posted October 13, 2005 Members Posted October 13, 2005 orrrr... an Agile Interceptor.
Members yngzaklynch Posted October 13, 2005 Members Posted October 13, 2005 Ibanez or Schecter Diamond Series.
Members jonny toetags Posted October 13, 2005 Members Posted October 13, 2005 Something from Schecter or LTD
Members sonrise Posted October 13, 2005 Members Posted October 13, 2005 Id try to get a G&L Bluesboy....
Members princeadr Posted October 13, 2005 Members Posted October 13, 2005 I saw a Gibson LP Junior Special Plus on eBay for $750 buy it now. That is the guitar I would buy. No doubt about it!
Members Megadeth7684 Posted October 13, 2005 Members Posted October 13, 2005 Ibanez RG550, then I would spend the rest of the money to upgrade it.
Members CTBMETAL Posted October 13, 2005 Members Posted October 13, 2005 i got my ibanez prestige s-series on ebay for $700.00 i only found out later that this guitar brand new is $1000.00 needless to say im VERY pleased.
Members Sordid1 Posted October 13, 2005 Members Posted October 13, 2005 I would probably find a used Ernie Ball sillhouette or something like that. The Ernie ball's build quality is among the highest in the industry and they are built here in the good old USA. Second option would probably be a used ESP eclipse or horizon if I could find one.
