Members keith335
My brother is really thinking about buying one of these. I think it is the new one with like three rows of nobs on it. I've always stayed away from them because not many people use them and you can't really try them out anywhere. Any one own or play with one on here. What is the deal? Members Robotechnology
I would stay away from the SX series of solid state amps both for tonal and reliability issues. Their tube amps are great. I have a Quad X 4-Ch tube preamp which I love and would never get rid of.

Members rushtallica
And here's a thread of a couple people talking about them that own them:http://acapella.harmony-central.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=1112623&highlight=carvinYou can also go to www.carvin.com and check their discussion board: guitar amps forum for more info and clips.I love their older tolex-covered 6L6 version X100B amps such as in the attachment (I have a different type of X100B now that I'm not quite as into -- carpet-covered el34 version -- but it makes a sweet poweramp for my Peavey Rockmaster preamp, and the active eq on the Carvin makes that setup FAT-sounding~!). I'm thinking about possibly getting a V3. It's between that, a JSX, and a Single Rectifier, though I know where to get a nice Mesa Quad preamp and nice Mesa poweramp (I believe the 2:90) for just under $1k, but I'm not sure I want other rack gear, and my Peavey Rockmaster's doing surprisingly well w/ eq in the loop and another eq boost in front~! But back on topic, I think the new V3 seems like a really great versatile, great tone, low-$ amp and am definitely interested in them.
