Oh ofcourse. I can give you a brief one now. Ofcourse since I got the amp from the post office couple of hours ago (3 1/2), my fingers couldnt stop itching to play through this poweramp. So i took it to my brother's place where I keep my rig:

ADA MP-1 3TM

Rocktron Replifex

Marshall 412 JCM800 straight cab

I plugged the poweramp in and let it warm up a little bit, pressed the bypass button and started chugging away. To my ears, this is probebly the most organic/natural sounding poweramp i've ever heard in my life. Very tight punchy thick tone. It has Winged C EL34s (yeah i know.. i just got it and I already opened it to look at the inside) in there and I was worried that it was gonna lack lowend punch and tightness.. man, was I wrong about it. It couldnt get any more tigther and punchier then this. Press the Voice button and you've got an even more punchier cutting tight tone.

The only thing I noticed was that the Presence control cannot be cranked past (clock position) 3:30 or 4:00 o'clock. after that, it got really buzzy, but the louder I cranked the amp, the less I had to use of the presence.

overall.. this is an amazing poweramp and I think its a well spent $750.

Definitly recommended for those who can afford something like that.

Cheers

Also, you know those cabs... I posted them for sale today and sold them already. Unrealy how fast they went!

Hey man,

So far, the poweramp's I've owned are:

- Peavey Classic 60/60

- Carvin T100 Tube poweramp

- Tube Works RT-4250 Provalve 100 (still own but may keep as backup).

The Peavey 60/60 was very good, but it was just big (3 space) and i thought it lacked a bit of volume for a 60watter.

The Carvin was the best sounding was out of all those 3. It was punchy, loud and tight. But the VHT beats all of them. Its much more aggressive, tighter and alot more punchier. Also, its definitly alot more organic/natural sounding. it has this "woody" type tone to it, and it has tons of volume for a 50watter per side.

Yes its more expensive, but this is probebly the last poweramp I'll ever have to buy.. unless I start playing huge venues sometime and I buy the VHT 2/90/2 or the 2150 :D

Hope that helps!

Cheers!

:D.. maybe we'll get together sometime and I'll bring my rack over to run through that Mesa cab you have since I've wanted to try one of those for a while.. maybe we'll run your Mesa Mark III into the VHT to see what it would sound like :D

To be honest.. to me, I'd rather spend the extra bucks and get a really good tube poweramp that I'll probebly never have to worry about modding or doing anything extra to. Maybe replace tubes in the near future but nothing extreme like I had to do with the Carvin.

Even though both poweramps are loaded with EL34s, I find the VHT (like i mentioned earlier) to sound alot more organic/natural sounding then the Carvin. Also, the Voice feature on the VHT is just way too cool, you gotta have somthing like that. You press that and it sorta boosts the volume a bit and adds some more lowend punch and highend/highmid cut but at the same time, keeps the overall tone tight and aggressive.
