Members Ben J
I have tried a few different combinations/positions, and i don't seem to notice a difference....other than the annoyance of having to re-tune.

Members MKSkud
I use two springs, both spaced apart at the block, and then close together at the claw...

I use 11s strings; have 3 springs all evenly spaced (ie. straight, not at an angle), and I have the claw-screws in really deep.
Members Ben J
What are the advantages above the "default" settings?
Members Valkeus
The arrowhead setup gives a bit more tension. If you stick with the standard parallel three you should be fine, If you increase a gauge for every step you detune. But this is not alway preferable, if you use heavier strings or heavy tops light bottoms the arrow config will give extra tension to keep the trem in-line, if you like really heavy strings you will need to add more springs. What do you tune to?What guitar/trem do you have? What gauge do you use?
Members Ben J
Well, the SV is tuned to D standard, floyd rose original, 11-50 The Jackson is E standard, licensed floyd rose, 10-
Members Valkeus
The Jackson should be fine with the parallel series. The claw srews on the SV will probably have to be all the way in, If you can get away with it. If not the arrowhead should give the extra bit of tension needed. But I'm guessing you have it under control already.
Members Ben J
Yeah, I've been jerking around with the trem bar like there's no tomorrow, and they stay in perfect tune. And the bridge is nice and parallel to the body.
