Some generic emulative stuff wouldn't go amiss, brass/wind/strings. Cheesey i know, but i like, and simple patches are a good way of getting an idea of the general sound before you start putting crazy stuff in there.

Btw is the DeMoon actually in production and shipping? I'd got the impression it was, then i came across this on touched by sound's website:

http://www.touched-by-sound.com/de/Vintage-31594-Tbs_Gotharman_Demoon.html

which says it isn;t, but no date, so maybe things have changed since then?

+1 for demoon trombones noises. i love granular fanfares!

i can see myself permanently bolting this box to the left side of my MS2000. maybe they'll drill and tap out a few little scenicsquare holes in the bottom for me if i ask nicely. harsh, dry ass pads all up in your grill.

when that degrador goes into production, i wish to be the first to know.

Hi!

It's me on the video :-)

I had the DeMoon for 2 weeks while programming the soundbanks and I wanna share my first impressions:

This synth can make sounds like no other synth I own (Yamaha Motif XS, Moog Voyager, PolyMoog Keyboard, NordLead2, Korg Triton with MOSS, Alesis Micron, Yamaha DX-100 to name a few) or have ever tried... I actually think kind of "fills the gap". The DeMoons sound quality and timbre is unlike anything else and really stands out.

Daniel

that's high praise- how does it stack up against an Evolver desktop?

I haven't really tried the Evolver, so I dont know, but I think they'd compliment eachother well ;-)

This synth is probably not gonna make you wanna sell all your other synths, but i gonna make sounds that no other synths will... When the soundbanks are all done and I get the time, I'll try to make some samples or videos where you can here the DeMoon combined with other synths.

hey

can you comment on when/if any of the other Gotharman products will reach production status?

Well, I don't think that there is anything definite, but Shawn has mentioned to me talking to him about getting some Deformers, but it will probably be a little while.

The deFORMER is one of next great thing to come, deMOON is the one who takes all of our time now. But please keep on asking Shawn when he will have it.

All the best,

Ole Bj

The deformer looks like some sort of audio fx processing box. Seems cool from what I've read, but haven't seen too much info on it. Was thinking that the demoon was the successor to it.

The granular effect combined with the 4 filters on the demoon sounds wonderful btw.

The deformer is kind of like a more high powered deMoon with more knobs, to the best of my knowledge.
