Members schecter player
I need to get a cab for my peavey xxx and cant decide between these two. I can get the 1960a cab for 350 here in AZ or the g-flex for 409 that is not factory sealed, but is still new. Im looking for a tight bottom end and smooth highs. but not ear piercing, Transportation is kind of an issue. If it matters, I am am using a schecter avenger with stock pickups. Thanks guys. Members FalseRevRG
to expand on the original poster's question, how would the 1960a and g-flex 2x12 sound together? would they complement each other well?

I've owned teh 1960, and I would say it has a distinct lack of said low-end. Together, they may do very well.
Members crwnedblasphemy
I have not played a 1960, but my G-Flex has a lot of low end. i think too much....If the 1960 has none....they might sound good together? Who knows?

Members jamesboyd
strictly for the xxx I'd go with the 1960a. I usually prefer v30's but the xxx goes well with gt75's as well. the 1960a is much tighter than the gflex (which sounds like a {censored}ty v30 cab) but the high are harsher with a less pronounced midrange.
