I had been looking for From Your Grave, the new metal album from The Absence, for a few weeks now. Mega was the only guy I knew with a copy, and it sounded freakin' incredible. But I literally could not find it ANYWHERE, probably because they're still unknowns to most aside from HCers and the metal community.

Then I walked into FYE today, and the album was on display right next to Disturbed and Korn. It looked hilariously grim and out of place...and it was under $10! Naturally I bought it. So it looks like a favorite of ours has come to showcase prominence at a major chain. m/ m/

BTW, I listened to the whole thing already and it's absolutely killer. I prefer clean vocals, but as death metal goes, Jamie Stewart absolutely nails it. (Plus I can hear his lyrics, a rarity for such a heavy act.) And Peter Joseph and Patrick Pintaville...especially Peter Joseph...have absolutely massive chops.

And after hearing the guitar tone they got on this record, I know why Mega swears he's going to keep their old Caparison.

Yeah, but I never expected The Absence to be a featured item.:cool: I figured it would just be hiding in the Heavy Metal section somewhere...but nooo...:D
