I remember not liking the UV out of the box, but pretty quickly finding a tube complement which was totally satisfying.
Members MLE Posted January 27, 2006 Members Posted January 27, 2006 Sell me the Flexi and Cab ...that would make 2 of each for me...they would be like brothers (or sisters...or twins, or...you get the picture) Remember the Guitar and PU's have a lot to do with the how the amp reacts tonally

Members Ed DeGenaro Posted January 27, 2006 Members Posted January 27, 2006 Denkst, I didn't see that initially. One of the issues you have I think is that with the first volume cranked the power section gets hit way to hard and the amp gets slow. And gets that weird mid spike you describe. That's why I usually run it around 2 o'clock. I get something similar with my old amps if the volume goes over 8.

But here's a question: would boosting the front end of the amp hit the power section too hard or is that a function of the amp's preamp and poweramp interacting on their own? Not quite sure if that's clear but it's the best I can articulate it. George

Cool...makes sense.....I have to say I have never had an amp this frustrating to dial in and rewarding once it's dialed in correctly (?)....Thanks a lot Ed and Andy LOLGeorge
