Members luke978
I'm looking to buy my first tube amp. I play hard rock, metal, classic rock stuff. I'm trying to get my hands on a 212 for around $500. I've been looking at the Carvin MTS and the Peavey Ultra, but I've never played one. Am I missing one? What would you choose? Members Code-001
Isn't a Peavey Classic 50 a 2x12? That would be the one I'd choose.

I finally tried the Valve King 212 and the 112. Damn, what an awesome amp it is!I think for 5 bills you can pick up the 212 model. I'd either go for that or the Classic 50 212. I've owned 2 5150 combos so far and like the Classic and Valve King(especially the VK!) better.

Members GCDEF
You'd have a lot more options if you went with 1 x 12". 2 doesn't really add anything except price and weight.
