He played through a couple of Marshall full stacks when STP played on SNL back in the day. Remember when you could see bands like Living Colour, Skid Row, STP, Pearl Jam, and Faith No More on SNL? We go from that to Ashley Simpson. What sad, sad times we are living in for popular music.
Members Pengrin Posted January 6, 2006 Members Posted January 6, 2006 STP's first three albums were so insanely good. I can't separate which one is best. Tiny Music has some of my favourite stuff, I love Press Play, I wish that song went longer. So COOL!!

Everyone needs to check out some of the early aquanet pics floating around the net, LOL. They were a grunge band due to the media. All the members hated the title and refused to accept it. They were a success before the grunge wave ever hit. STP and The Black Crowes, along with AIC, are in my favorite 90's bands. NIN and Tool probably round out my top 5.

Members dayvestar Posted January 6, 2006 Members Posted January 6, 2006 with all the sh*t that STP took when they came out, who'd have thought they'd get so much respect 14 years later? ...well, i guess i did 'cause they're one of my favorite bands. my first STP show is probably the best concert i've ever seen.
Members Def_Pearl_Pilot Posted January 6, 2006 Members Posted January 6, 2006 After my first show, seeing STP, my neck hurt like a bitch from head banging and my ear rang for three days. AWESOME!!

He's also the guy who owned that black Les Paul Standard for over a year before he found out it had pull-pots for coil-tap.phase.
