Man, was lettermen being a total dick!

I know he doesn't like O'reily, but he made himself look like a completely uninformed, mindless hollywood liberal.

Lettermen was completely oblivious to the whole Christmas controversy, which is pretty baffling.

He also told o'reily "i think 60% of what you say is crap".

Then he also said "i don't watch the show, this is just based off of what i have read"

of course the crowd mindlessly applauded every dumb point lettermen made.

it was pretty bad.

anyone else catch this?

I saw the "outakes" (didnt see the whole interview) and yes Letterman looked like a uninformed idiot, but what do u expect from CBS these days? seriously?

I know i know some people will hop on O'reilly, and yes hes a lil bit of a ego-loudmouth, BUT he will ask alot of questions that the mainstream media doesnt answer..

I dont think hes as "conservative" as alot of people like to make him out to be, YES he does lean right but he also agrees with the left also.. If i had to guess alot of his views i would say hes about 60% cons/rep 30% dem/lib and 10% everything else..

Nope, I missed it. But I've heard the story. Letterman said some {censored} and then admits he never watches the show.

Sort of like how much certain people think gear sucks when they've never played them. :D

And 100% douchebag. I do agree with him on the Christmas thing, but I think he is the mother of all self-righteous egotists. He's so quick to "debate" but as soon as he starts getting his ass handed to him, he pulls the person's mic who is arguing with him. His show is complete garbage and about as "fair and balanced" as my asshole. I don't particularly like Letterman either actually.

Like i said hes a ego-loudmouth, and i kinda agree with you, but he does ask alot of questions that the mainstream media doesnt ask or basically refuse to touch! I do like him for that!

Letterman looked/sounded like a partison hack, not coming off 2 goos when he admitted he didnt watch show! IDIOT!

Whats wrong with your asshole? :p

I havent noticed that. I've seen him lose debates on his own show but he never pulls the mic on them. He does pull the mic on people who wont answer questions or debate the topic and just go on tangents with one liners bashing remarks or just spin, and after they've had multiple opportunities answer the question or debate the topic. I dont watch it religiously, but often enough.

I have lots of liberal friends who absolutely hate O'Reilly. Funny thing is, when pressed, every single one of them will admit they have never watched the show.

I find it funny that most of these same people would describe themselves as "tolerant". But when someone presents ideas that are opposed to their own, they really aren't tolerant at all.

Yup, agree 100%. Liberals are only tolerant if you agree with them. Free speech only applies to those who agree with them. Free to vote on an issue so long as it goes their way. Anyone who wants specific examples, I'd be more than happy to provide them.

That's because liberals or "tolerant" people are tolerant of everything but intolerance.

Mind you I'm not cons. or liberal. necessarily.

I'll agree that O'Reilly isn't as right-wing as say Rush, but he's definitely conservative,....more of an old school repulician. This "No Spin" bull{censored} he tauts is laughable,...if you ever listen to his radio show or watch his TV show he spins his ass off,..hahaha. I will say though, if you're gonna "word dual" with that guy you had better do your homework because he's pretty good at getting all the info on whatever subject "he" thinks is important at the time,..I'll give him that. But Bill's achilles heel is his gi-normous ego, and he constantly acts like he's some tough guy.

Sorry I missed the Letterman thing,..that would have been entertaining. But I don't pretend to think that Dave would be able to handle himself well in a situation like that.

I dont know why some are turning this into a political (liberal - conservative) thread..

Its about Letterman coming off as a hack on T.V, and for the 100th time Bill Oreillys is NOT a news anchor, hes a talk show host, they give opinions also ladies and gents..

Dan Rather was supposed to be a News Anchor..

People love to paint him with the conservative label but i dont think hes as conservative as others try to make him out 2 be..

I like O'reilly for one thing.

He does STICK TO THE POINT.

For example...the Christmas debate, someone said that wouldn't ti be nice to say "Happy Holidays" as some sort of *official* greeting?

O"Reillay said that's NOT what he is fighting against.

We wants everyone to be able to say what they want. If it's "Happy Holidays", "Merry Christmas", "hannukah"...whatever.

So instead of getting sidetracked and..."Self righteous" as the haters like to say, he stayed percisely on target.

No one reporter is perfect. But I think O'reilly does a good job honing in on the issues. He tries to not get distracted. And he calls BS when he sees it. Is he always right? Of course not and you're an ass if that is your issue with him. All reporters have their slant and their spin...so to diamiss O"reilly for it is stupid. You really can learn alot by listening to the program. One way or the other.

Or you could just go back to your Radio America programs and get ALL your information there.

And on topic...no I didn't see it.

Bill is a moron to the 9th degree...He lives on LI..has a huge home and talks like he's one of the "blue collar" section..He's not for anything ..except.. {censored} that will make the little guy confused..
He makes everything he's thinks is important an ,,,"issue"...

I think thats what letterman was getting at...Bill will find some piss-ant little story thats happening in say Arakasas or Alabama with the courts and make you think that the whole US of A is coming unglued by someone challenging the court system...thats all he {censored}ing talks about..

His Radio show bit the tubes..and he's got little to no Audience...He thinks he's deserves to be held in a higher regard then evedybody else..and he's the next Rush LimpBalls....what was he doing before this..???

Some magazine show on tv or something...Loud mouth Right-wing slop..

( dont lean on Letterman..becasue he didnt come off right..becasue Dave's job is to make you laugh..not debate issues...)..Bill cant debate issuses..becasue he's not talking about anything really important most of the time...( his subjects suck)...and His "no-spin-zone"..its a {censored}ing crock..

just my 2 cents...

he is not as conservative as the libs paint him to be, that is absolutely true. Just look at the recent Tookie Williams ordeal. I got chewed out over it and one particular nitwit decided to attack Bill O'Reilly as a death penalty advocate. In typical liberal fashion, the guy went shooting his mouth off at a perceived conservative making all kinds of assumtions based solely on that perception as opposed to actually investigating the facts of the matter. Those who care enough to pay attention would know that Bill O'Reilly is 100% AGAINST the Death penalty in ALL cases. No exceptions. Including Tookie.

He called for clemency and life without parole, just like all those Hollywood fiberals and dummycrats. But this particular fool thought he was for the DP because he does what most liberals do: knee jerk emotional reactionary with little to no facts and little to no interest to clarify the facts. They would rather get all worked up and foam at the mouth over Bill O'Reilly because they see him as an enemy of their agenda. So they attack him whenever his name is mentioned, even when he is on their side. Stupid fiberals. Bill O'Reilly spends as much time bashing the Bush administration as he does supporting them, and he is moderate on a lot of issues. It all depends on the issue.
