Members mightyjoeyoungxnj Posted January 6, 2006 Members Posted January 6, 2006 I've installed the metal pack on my PodXT and like the Big Bottom model best for metal rhythm...the lead tone ain't so hot. Which would you guys reccomend for neck pickup lead tones?? Got any settings or patches for me?? -Joe
Members jem7vwh Posted January 6, 2006 Members Posted January 6, 2006 It doesnt use the metal shop pack, but I love this lead tone:http://s39.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=28QBNV1NO7WK61PTD11Z7YY4E2
Members matt_v Posted January 6, 2006 Members Posted January 6, 2006 not sure about neck pickup, but i have some patches up here. "Saturate" is good for leads, "Overdrive" with boost and delay can do ya right, and "Angel of Death" is decent too. Just make sure you have a humbucker guitar.
Members sekler Posted January 6, 2006 Members Posted January 6, 2006 I have a cool one, if you want it, PM your email adress. You can hear it in action here, no pre or post tweaking or sohttp://www.digitalsoundplanet.com/Members/000088867_000020189.mp3 I think it's a Boogie IIC+ tone
Members OverDriven Posted January 6, 2006 Members Posted January 6, 2006 SLO model is great, and XTC is as well. However, I can come up with a good lead tone on most models...just takes some tweaking. Be sure the use the "Boost+EQ" pedal in the FX pack to help tweak lead tones. -Joe

Members xMadiMx Posted January 6, 2006 Members Posted January 6, 2006 I use the SLO w/ Delay/compression and a little reverb.
Members sah5150 Posted January 6, 2006 Members Posted January 6, 2006 Me and Bob Savage are trading off leads on this. Single take just handing each other the guitar after weeks of no practice, so excuse the playing... I played first, then Bob, then me, Then Bob, then me...Lourdes Of Bogus This was all PODXT PRO for the leads and I used the out of the box "20C: Diety Lead" patch and Bob used a slightly tweaked "20A:Bomber Uber" patch. I don't know if those patches have effects or not either. I also switched my guitar to the stock "20B:Conner 50" patch for my last wank (last one). I think these are all from the Metal Pack... We both used the bridge pickup on my Suhr for this, although I switched to the neck pickup for my second wank just for the hell of it. I really like how these patches sound out of the box for amp sims - they could be tweaked to sound even better... nothing replaces a real amp though... Steve

Members AndyZ Posted February 28, 2006 Members Posted February 28, 2006 StrykeBack, if you email me there's a large bundle called the whole enchilada that has more than the factory patches for the packs. I was one of the beta testers for the model packs and about 8 of my patches are factory defaults. One of my legacy patches is "Sexy Plexi". If you have these already no problem, if you if you do, email me from my profile here and I'll dig em up.And Steve, that ain't no chicken...
Members DJLantz444 Posted February 28, 2006 Members Posted February 28, 2006 For anyone in here comes in wanting a Rock lead tone... The Plexi Lead 100 maxed out gives you a sweet tone.
