Members Duke of Metal
hey guys, how are these cabinets when they are fully closed? how do the speakers in there (Black Shadow) handle highgain at highgain volumes? Also, is this cabinet taller? wider or deeper then a Marshall straight 412? Any info would help. Thanks

Hey JB.. thanks for the reply. by standard cab.. do you mean a mesa standard cab? or just 412 cabs in general? Is it heavier weight wise? I was gonna go for a VHT but since there are no dealers in canada and VHT prices went up, I am gonna have to pass on it for now. Thanks
Members scottcrud
They're shorter, and narrower than a Marshall cab. The Black Shadow 90's are great speakers and handle gain and low end like a champ. By closing the top it adds more thump. Good cabs.

They weigh A LOT!! Very solid. I want one. I have a VHT cab that I'd trade for one.

Members blackba
I really like my halfback cab, I haven't had many 412's at all, but I know a nice cab and this one is great. Mine has C90's in the top and EV's in the bottom. That is supposed to be the best speaker combo that the cab came with.
