Anything by Van Halen or 90s Metallica

, some Guns

Why call it that and not with #??

I keep finding tabs that say Metallica's Dont Tread On Me is using this tunning, but I would bet my life the song is in standard. The same with Master of Puppets. WTF?

When going down a scale or anything you always refer to it in the flat.

It's just what I'm used to.

Those songs are both in standard, the only pre-Black album downtuned song is The Thing That Should Not Be.

Actually, there is a difference between D# and Eb, ask a violinist.

And you would refer to it based off the key signature the scale is in.

Yea I don't know where they showed those songs in a lower tuning. Some good songs to learn could be Bleeding Me, or if you like Megadeth - Train Of Consequences or A Tout Le Monde.

Try playing songs that should be in standard tuning and play them in Eb. You might find that you like them better 1/2 step down, I know I did. My guitar is setup and always tuned to Eb unless I tune down more.
