First off, I apologize to the ones that i made to believe i was gonna make a V30 vs CL80 comparision. I recorded the clip with the Marshall cab which i assumed had V30's in and it turned out better than i expected so i checked the marshall website for specifications and turns out they are G12-T75's lol. The marshall cab isn't mine its my cousins guitarists' and its staying at our house thats why i wasnt really curious before.

Anyway so here are the two clips. They are like DAY AND NIGHT.

Same partial song, same equipment with exact same settings. I got the mic positions as close as possible. I know my preference ;) I'll let you be the judge. Which one's YOUR favorite?

the g12t75 sounded alot fuzzier on the rhythm guitar. But had a nicer high end. Combine the two and I think it will make for a great tone. The CL80 sounded alot nicer with the rhythm guitar

Think im still in love with my CL80's :D They are sooo balanced. Good observations btw. I do like the highend on CL80s more (especially during the lead parts) because it's less harsh to my ears. Preference issue. The thing is, I'm pretty sure I would take G12-t75's over cl80s anyday for specific genres of music. But for what i do. nope.

Thanks for checkin it out :thu:

Please do ! I hate laptop speakers hehe.

:D:p
I think the only thing I might do is take out the two G12T and replace them with two more CL80s.

Haha thats what im talkin about :thu::D

V30s work pretty good mixed with G12Ts. The V30s midrange warmth fill in the gap of the G12T, which has lots of highs and bass.

That's what I was thinkin. Is it pretty easy to wire in different speakers?

I'm actually debating which speakers to put in my cab to go with the EVM's i have in there...think i might go with the CL80's
:o

Can't go wrong. I have a feeling they'd sound pretty good with emg's. From what ive heard they have lots of high end? the emgs? if thats so cl80's will take away the unwanted brightness :D well depends on the amp too though which you have a kickass one as i can see :p

I think the mid would pretty much do the trick. I dunno. A friend in Turkey wrote some bass and drums and sent me. I recorded guitars on it. I didnt touch settings on the mark IV and with cl80's it still sits pretty good in the mix :thu:

(this happened like an hour ago btw lol. I should stop recording {censored} and start my projects :( )
