Members SFW
ADA MP-1 > Macintosh Tube Power amp (HI-FI Audio Amp)> Marshall 1960 cab. I believe that he was using GT75s.

Members Digital Jams
I take it that the amp voicing will have to be Splawn? I heard ADA as well.

Members thegame
I am by no means an Extreme fan, but Extreme III sides to every story CD has one of the best overall productions I've ever heard. The guitar sound is amazing too. Was he using the ADA/MacIntosh/G12T75 setup on that CD as well?
Members Kevin Pelletier
I thought he used Marshall JCM 800 for that
Members Whitesnake666
Im pretty certain it was the ADA MP1 and ADA Poweramp rig. live i think he used several MP1s and ran a W/D/W setup but im not 100% certain i have a pic of his rig somewhere Dan

Members buddastrat
ADA does that sound. I think I read he used to run it into a JCM 800 power section. But, if you use a Bill Lawrence pickup like he did, almost anything gets that compressed, jagged crunch.
Members ratter
He endorsed those ADA upright 2x12's at one point, I believe. Don't know what they're loaded with or if he actually used them for recording. I hated his porno tone, but the III Sides and Waiting for the Punchline both had killer tone, IMO. Members Randy Van Sykes
I saw the tour for III Sides...I think it was 1991... at a small 3000 seater venue with amazing acoustics (Massey Hall...were Rush's "All The World's A Stage" was recorded)...Best guitar tone I've heard from a live band...EVER! I am hoping Yngwie's tone is smoking May 5th Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm..............Lynch during the WS tour was pretty bad assed, probably my favorite to date. Massey Hall is the best sounding venue (I've been to)... the acoustics in the building are really special...I saw Jeff Beck there a few years ago...everyone's mouth was stuck open....playing and sound were perfect. If I ever made it, I'd only play Massey Hall...make people come to Toronto to see me play...won't play anywhere else. I thought I deleted this clip... Members SFW
The cranked to hell Vibrolux is only on "Waiting for the Punchline." Check out his new band DramaGods. His tone still kills. He's using two modded Marshalls now. The tone is thick and punchy. Very yummmmmy!

Members danyeo
I like Nuno's tone better on the album before Porno. That song Kid Ego has such a ballsy crunch. He used Marshall's on that. I have read/heard that Nuno was always wierd about gear he used and didn't necessarily use on the albums what he said he did in some magazine. He said in one magazine that he used ADA/Macintosh setup, but i also have a magazine article where he said he used a small Fender combo for Little jack Horny. There were also rumors that he used a MarkIII for much of the album. Nothing suprises me because i also read an interview with him where he said he was extremely oppossed to the magazines tabbing out his songs. He said that people should people shouldn't cheat with tabs and figure his songs out by ear. And I'll have to insert my typical, Nuno is a assface, comment.
