The supply dries up because it is no longer being made. The best that you can hope for is for someone with old inventory sitting around they want to sell, or used memory for an old computer sitting somewhere. If you have a college or university somewhere close by, they might have a "salvage" dept that sells off old computers that were phased out by the university and they are trying to get some cash for them.
