I've tried a red knob Twin, and my friend had a Twin II.There is no comparison....for what I like. Those amps had a higher high end....no sponge or feel ....if that makes any sense. No reverb, but they sound good and can be had pretty cheap. All you need is a cab and you have a nice backup.I wish the musicman HD130 I tried out 6 years ago had tubes that weren't dying in it.
