Members Mr Songwriter
Hence the filename That thing took all day to fix. Such a massive job. The tech that fixed it, kept the old board and the photos so he has a reference for future jobs with MarkIV amps (he's a qualified Mesa/Boogie tech but I guess does more of the older MarkI amps and Recto/Lonestar etc.). Although it was a headache he said he was glad to experience it. Your Deluxe Reverb looks cool Yeah thanks, looking at those pics you can definitely see why the techs prefer to work on the handwired stuff. I just opened my DRRI up to see what it looked like - the main PCB is mounted to the chassis with about 8 screws, I wanted to check the soldering on the underside, so I took all the screws out, but when I tried to lift the PCB up there was still something holding it in place, I have no idea what, maybe it's glued to something underneath? I didn't want to force anything so I just put the amp back together.

Members ColourOfFire
as far as the orange goes, just because its PCB you cant automatically label it {censored}ty. its very clean when you get a look at it. and everythign is super solid in there. nothing will come lose anytime soon. VERY well put together for a PCB setup. but all of the handwired stuff (OR50, anything custom shop) is of course done with flying leads. this thing, while PCB mounted, uses ceramic sockets, gold jacks, etc. and hell, it sounds great. but to be brutally honest, i did sort of expect some more awesomeness in there when i opened her up. modern age, i guess. with an amp like this you are paying for features and design rather than simplicity i guess. it is a modern amp, after all.I'm not saying it's {censored}ty because it's PCB, I have nothing against PCB, but it looks like the pots are directly soldered on the PCB, tube sockets directly mounted on the PCB, computer style wiring I just expected something else from Orange. But then again, if it sounds good, who cares

Members Radiohead, lol
That looks sooooooo home made ...... you got to wonder if Fender was just lucky that it worked? It's somewhat messy (and it appears that most of that is stock too), but it runs fairly quiet and hasn't caused any injuries yet.
Members jaytee123
That looks sooooooo home made ...... you got to wonder if Fender was just lucky that it worked? If Im not mistaken, that circuit board is made out of a material that becomes more conductive as it ages, and will soon need to be changed.
