Members z28talon
Here goes. Best to worst. 1. Mesa Rect-O-Verb combo 2. Marshall DSL401 combo 3. Mesa Nomad 55 Combo 4. Fender Blues Jr. 5 Line 6 Flextone (no longer have) 6. Line 6 Spider II 7. Peavey Rage (It sounds better than the other Peaveys I had...particularly the clean channel.) 8. Peavey Bandit (no longer have) 9. Peavey Audition (no longer have) The Rect-O-Verb is far and away the best overall sounding amp I have. It was my first tube amp.... The Marshall really appeals to me. Lots of dynamics. Although the Nomad has more variety, I find myself wanting to play the Marshall more. Most disappointing amp: Peavey Bandit. This was before I discovered tubes. I had a Peavey Rage (good tone, but way inadequate for rehearsing) and a 65 watt Peavey with a 12" speaker (the name escapes me), so I decided to get the Bandit and get more power and a few more features than the 65 watt Peavey I had. Honestly, I thought the previous Peavey I had was much better than the Bandit. Reliability: Mesas.
