Members pinkfloydcramer61
I recently got a Hammond SK1, which I really like, and in addition to the regular B3 stuff it's a hoot to dial up a lounge/theatre organ sound. Theatre organ fans, where's a good place to begin? Thanks and Happy NY!

Members pinkfloydcramer61
Cool! I'll take- BOTH of them:D. Is either one a Wurli? Actually I was thinking more in terms of music/artists, though. Every so often a theatre-lounge organ thread pops up around here and it's pretty intriguing, to me. Plus I am going to play my keyboard for my Lawrence Welk- watching landlords and if I do good they might cut me a break on rent.
Members Conbrio
Is either one a Wurli? Yes, mine is. Quite a flamboyant design. Here's another...

Members Yoke
You should start looking into any horsheshoe shaped spinet organs with brands Allen, Conn, Wurlitzer, Lowrey and even Guelbransen. It could be either 2 or 3 manuals also.

Members mate_stubb
'Stopped. I can tell by the pixels and having seen a few stops in my time. I have actually stood in front of that 15 manual organ. It is at House On The Rock in Wisconsin. This equally ridiculous organ is in the same room (neither one works). Members Plink Floyd
This thread recalled Hauptwerk to mind. It used to be only pipe organ emulations, but now they have other instruments, including several theater organs. It also used to be shareware, but no more. There is a free edition/demo version. If someone knows more about that, please hold forth. And shame on you bad organ jokesters! Have you no Principals?
