Members draelyc
I love the DMM, but my "high gain" leads don't really go beyond 80s type gain levels... Make sure you've got a send level control, so your fx loop doesn't overdrive the delay's input, though.
Members danyeo
DD20. They can work well in the loop. DL4's don't work so well in the loop and i hate delay pedals into the input of the amp. For more money there's the T-rex.

Members peavey_impact
I love love love my Danelectro Wasabi Forward/Reverse Delay. Excellent sound, very versatile, and has a built-in clean boost. Kind of expensive and hard to find though.

Members JoshuaLogan
I want something nice and warm sounding, that's why I was thinking something analog, maybe the DMM. or atleast something that "sounds analog" I already have a DL4. I'm afraid to keep it because of how unreliable everyone says they are. I don't want to stomp through the footswitches and have a dead pedal. If I do replace it, I'm going to get an akai headrush or boomerang for a looper, but I want a separate delay. I love delays. I'm thinking DMM or Dr. Scientist Sunny Day Delay... both are around the $200 used range and sound very good. just wondering what else in the same price range I should look into? That's a good delay pedal as long as you aren't looking for long delay times.

Members Noak
Definatelly not EH Memory Man for metal... I recommend, as previously mentioned, the Boss DD-20. I consider that pedal better and more durable than the Line 6 DL4.
Members Phishmonkey
Whats the moog delay pedal like? There's one at a nearby store but I've never tried it, the price tag always scares me off.

Members Awake77
that micro delay thing by guyatone is really cool The TD-X is basically their micro delay with a tube stage that you can mix in with the uneffected signal:)

Members Inazone
Boss DD-2 or DD-3. Sounds warmer than the newer versions to my ears, and you can dial in a subtle volume boost if you want one pedal to handle all of your soloing needs. Members Dmantis
DD-20. yes it can be in the loop, it can go out in front. It can be programmed up to 4 different delay settings. Best Delay I have ever used period. Most versitile as well. Boss DD-20 and it's a wrap. Dan

Sounds warmer than the newer versions to my ears, and you can dial in a subtle volume boost if you want one pedal to handle all of your soloing needs. Can you please explain to me how that works? I want to add delay to my lead tone, but I already turn on an eq set to a volume boost and I'd really like to avoid tap dancing. I would love a delay that adds some volume too. Members cqc6
Hey, A DD20 will do great- I use one.I am very interested in the new pedals that Eventide has out. The delay pedal looks like it'll be a winner! I am wanting to try one out bad. It's a bit pricey but if its anything like the other gear they make it'll be worth it.
