For some reason, the Triton is consistently one of the most over-valued workstations on Craigslist, as far as what the owner thinks it's worth. I've seen sellers post the same overpriced synth for months - in some cases years -- and simply refuse to budge on the price. It's especially funny when they use misleading language to try and pump up the item for sale -- e.g. touting the "true analog fatness" in their digital synth, etc.
Members jpscoey
Two of my recent favourites: Someone advertising a chest-of-drawers as 'Chester drawers for sale'. ..... and - talk about Too Much Information : Someone 'reluctantly' selling their car - "only selling due to having my leg amputated" . Members Purity_Control
Freecycle is a bit like that, with people putting far TMI in to try and manipulate people into giving them stuff. My friend saw a request for baby clothes a month or so back for "the twin that didn't die"
Members pogo97
Lately a number of instruments for sale because of arthritis or "my fingers going numb."No "I died last month" yet, though.
Members Purity_Control
I never trust those. You never see a sale because "it's playing up intermittently and probably about to conk out some time soon"

Members ChristianRock
Ok I have to give an honorable mention to this guy. He's not asking for an outrageous price for his guitar - which is worth about 1600 new I guess - but he's also including the lowest lowball offer he will go for.http://atlanta.craigslist.org/nat/msg/1499337217.html

Members Numina
I can't figure out what this guy is selling for $990 - I don't think it's an actual Triton synth, but it looks like it's samples or something for a Triton...? But for $990!? I've seen this person's post for this same thing for awhile now. Anyone know what it is that is being sold?http://denver.craigslist.org/msg/1516060169.html
