Its a tuff call I think theyre all excellent , I love the MF /KD and all the offshoots like force of evil as well. Id have any of them in my band thats for shit sure.

Only force of evil song I can think of offhand is Cabrini Green.

hank sherman

because he is the best writing-guitarist of the lot, plus the most unique soloist as well.

He wrote the best Fate riffs.

Second would be michael denner for his own unique melodicism

La Roque is a Malmsteen clone, and mike wead is a hired gun type..

I never thought Laroque sounded anything like Malmsteen , Where did you get that from ????

Don;t call me stupid, bitch, La Roque is among the most derivative guitarists in the genre.

tapping? check. sweeppicking? check

Malmsteenisms? Puh-lease that's La Roque's whole bag.

Sherman is more creative, interesting choice of notes.

LaRoque sounds like a clinic whenever his solo is coming in a song.

once again, I think perhaps we are listening to a different Andy LaRoqcue.

Sweeping? Tapping? yeah, if you use those you must be ripping someone off

what about Andy's extensive use of the Floyd. I guess he got that from Malmsteen as well:rolleyes:

I really hope you're just trolling

Even if I am not a big fan of the "virtuoso" guitarrist style, I have to say that Andy is the best. He es just amazing, and so creative and technically complete. Said that, Mike Denner made al thouse gorgeous solos in MF and the first KD albums, that I can´t stop listening to. Maybe he is more like a hard rock than a heavy metal guitarrist, but his works are really pieces of art.
