What's up guys, I just wrote my first 3 songs, and would really like to hear some feedback, good or bad. I'm into old school metal and wrote them on a Zoom MRS8 (rough mix, still learning how to loop drum tracks so it's not perfect). Wondering what you all think of the songs and what bands if any, they remind you of. Thanks.

no offense taken. it is computerized. i just got into writing songs and trying to get down a basic framework until i can get a friend to lay down some real drum and vocal tracks. i'm still trying to get the loops to sync properly to try to minimized some of the slight pauses. thanks though for the honesty!

I just checked out Zoom MRS8. It's a digital recorder. Pretty cool for under $300.

Did you play the guitar or were they programmed?

The drums sounded ok, mainly the breaks were unnaturally quiet and timed too perfectly. Still sounds better than my songs with no drums

I'm still messin' with analog cassette multitrack.

You need vocals of any kind. You can probably get some good vocal effects from that thing.

only the drums were programmed, i played all the guitar parts. you just plug your guitar into the MRS8. the distortions are pretty good. check it out if you're looking for a decent unit to get some ideas down. i've got a good friend who can sing his ass off, so i'm excited to see what he can do with them.
