Members rockitsauce
I love the recorded tone (mars to sirius) and I was wondering if anyone has sought this out and what they used to find it, amp and cab wise. One thing I was curious of is I think it sounds good recorded but what about live? In the same room with those mids, does it still sound great or is it unappealing? Its just that some times when I like a recorded tone and I try to dial in close to that, I realize that in the same room it doesnt sound all that good like I thought it would, same goes with some bands that I saw live and didnt sound good in concert (although I know there are many factors that could cause that). Or do you just not like that tone at all?
Members Exocaster
I think it's just a Dual Rec with a Mesa cab. In the live videos I've seen, it sounds fine. Better than the fizzy, scooped out mess I've heard at a lot of metal shows.
Members mhenson42
They were using 6505s when I saw them in concert. Don't remember the cabs. Not sure if that was the CD amp or not though either.

Members telephant
In that vid in looks like a Recto and a 5150 into Marshall cabs.
Members Numb Sensitive
5150 and Mesa Dual Rectifier. Great band.
Members jimfear
On the video I have I believe it is Dual Recs. I know guitar wise they switched from a Gibson Explorer and a Les Paul Studio to Jackson RR1s when I saw them on tour for "From Mars to Sirius". Members Keebz
I can't stand their tone, but their musicianship is top notch!
Members Oblivion DC
I saw them at the 9:30 club last year and they were just fucking amazing. Killer sound and brutal songs. So if they're using the same live gear as they did on the album, it definitely translates well.
Members Brick
5150 into a marshall cab, but on the left side of the stage, I thought I saw a JCM
Members Jack Luminous
I saw them years ago before they were well known. They were playing dual rectos in recto cabs and had amazing tone. They played super tight and agressive with great right hand technique. I think it would sound great with any decent amp. I much prefer their old album "The Link" to the newest one BTW. Members sonofabias
I saw them a few months ago at the Fillmore here in NYC. I believe they were using rectos or another mesa and their sound was awesome, their music was uncompromising as well as inspiring ,much better than Behemoth, who was headlining!
