I bet his best friend is on this forum as jRak, and they get together and compose beautiful symphonies together. Not that any of you have the talent to understand them, of course. Remember, jRak's style is not slave to your crippling "tempo," so don't be surprised if its too deep for you to understand.

:D

Holy {censored} that's funny! :D

Boring rant. Stay away from religion and politics if you want people to listen. There isn't one Country radio station that plays the Dix Chics. That's a very powerful statement.

post #66 revisited. Someone should make an index for this thread. Lets stop repeating the past, and move forward towards undiscovered country! Onward, Ho!

Just a few things really.

1: The Dixie Chicks did what was the right thing to do, and the right thing sometimes isn't the most popular thing - more so in the US of some reason :freak:. The Dixie Chicks were brave and if more musicians dared to go against conservative systems of cowardice more politically involved groups would get played or no groups would get played. The Dixie Chicks made in deed a powerfull statement.

No peace can be won through war - peace is what we have untill get ourselves in a war (pray that would never happen). Just try to imagine the countles numbers of servings of plain and healthy food the US armsbudget could have resulted in and the number of saved lives, US and Iraqi and Afganistani. At the end of the day we're all losers, the Dixie Chicks, democracy, world peace, you and me.

2: Political lyrics are better used implied, which is better known as progressive music. Music works much like any other kind of culture where you want the listener or spectator to start thinking about things too distant to bother his mind any other day. Throwing things into his face could actually have the opposite effect.

3: Sometimes the less things we say the more the listener will pick up. No matter the subject or importance of a lyric the human mind can't take in very much before congestion dampening filters start to kick in. More so with some people than with others.

At the end of the day we are controlled by money and fear - and we call ourselves free...
