Have 5 tunes my cousins band recorded at my studio. I've been trying to tweak them every now and then. They were the first recordings I ever did and it was a live type setting. Everyone playing at once and it was extremely loud. They were my test subjects. This is called Carpe Diem (I think). I mixed up a few of thier titles when I recorded them. These are all high school kids. I keep tweaking these songs, but there is only so much I can do because of the recording setting and me being a newbie. Let me know what you think and give me some pointers on what to tweak on it. Here is the link

I don't know if it is my headphones but here it goes.

First song, sort of pop/punk sound, not bad.

Don't know what are the effects on the vocals but I can't understand a word

the guy is singing.

Also, the drums need to be more powerful. Bring them to the front just a little in the mix. It sounds way to "trebel-y" also. Don't know if it is the natural sound of the guitars or just the equalization. Other than that, a little bit of practice and the song will sound better (I noticed the bass miss it's line and the sync of guitars and drums at the beginning could be done better.

Second song. Much better. Drums seem to be in the right place, I love the rhythm and the separation of both guitars. Kind of sloppy in some parts but as a whole good song.

Good job to the guys who created these.

Yea I dont care for the first tune either. They are going to come down sometime and we are going to re-record all the tunes I have plus they have alot of new ones to do. Will be a lot better sesion. The ones posted were done live (all members at once) so there are alot of mixups and out of sync moments. Next time we will be tracking individually. I added another song to the post at the beginning.
