Members nomenclature Posted June 21, 2009 Members Share Posted June 21, 2009 I primarily play guitar and dick around with keyboards & soft synths once and a while, but I decided to try something different (for myself) and have an Elektron Machinedrum (SPS-1 UW MKII) coming my way... I'm thinking of forgoing a complete band and just use the Machinedrum while I play guitar and maybe hook up with a synth player... problem is, I'm not sure what I'll need to use the Machinedrum live... Any tips? If a PA is available, do I just run it direct, will I need a mixer, some sort of DI box or what? I'm looking for some sort of programmable midi foot controller to use for banking through songs/patterns and starting/stopping/etc while I play guitar, but I'm pretty clueless at this point about anything else I may need while I dive in head first... compared to guitar I can't quite wrap my head around the needed gear...
