Members Discofever
Regardless of your feelings about DJ AM, I thought this would be a good video to post so some beginners can get a look at where DJing is today. Serato and Traktor are the leaders in Vinyl Emulation. So basically that means you can have your Mp3 music translated to vinyl. You can scratch the decoded vinyls and you'll get a sound just like vinyl but without having to carry around all those records with you. DJ AM uses Serato Live but many use Traktor as well. Notice in the video how he's not changing vinyls. Simply selecting new songs on his laptop. Also, grabbing samples from the songs and assigning them to his laptop keys to act as cue points. Members mainstreeto
Serato has become industry standard in clubs. Most good venues have Serato ready to go. I think it is better than Traktor and all others.

Members Manipulate
I seriously take issue with the statement that this is where "DJing" is today. That's just the latest "hot" equipment. It's acutally having very little impact on sound and music.
Members DJ Gonzo
Saw DJ AM live at the Beverly Hilton Hotel earlier this year for the Oscar's After Party. He threw down an amazing set! The floor was packed through his entire set. R.I.P AM...
