Midnight Rain...

I wrote this based on a piano riff I composed.

The lyrics are not complete but we're trying it out live tomorrow anyway...

Arrangement is sax, chapman stick, guitar, vocals. Recorded live at a practice on a hand-held.

The MP3 is here.

Thoughts or comments would be appreciated. Not sure what "type" of music this is, blues maybe?

Lyrics:

Running down that gravel road.

Midnight rain a heavy load.

You don't see my point of view.

So I have nothing left of you.

Running.

Midnight rain.

Running.

Midnight rain.

Running in that midnight rain.

You were there you told me so.

Where you been.. I don't know.

Stitch in time is what I have.

That's what led me down this path.

Running.

Midnight rain.

Running.

Midnight rain.

Running in that midnight rain.

Disappear without a trace.

Blackened tears run down your face.

Stitch as tight as the night is cold.

Bitch was right oh I've been told.

Running.

Midnight rain.

Running.

Midnight rain.

Running in that midnight rain.

It went over well live - the singer forgot the lyric sheet on the printer and made a bunch up.

There is some video of this song at the start of

.

We put together the trio a couple of weeks ago and are just trying to get enough basic material up for an hour gig. It could be jammed out a lot more - in fact I do it that way solo with a loop pedal - but we here looking just to get it out there.

The other two songs might be the start of a "concept album" idea...
