Abstract Lyric Direction

OK, I had a song appear in a dream. It is a rocking style with a darker theme and these are the words that were clear upon awaking.

Is it enough not to fade away

Calling (our/your/my?) bluff....

Out on patrol at the county line

A couple other things I'm not sure of. I think there was a reference to fire somewhere and I think the line after "out on patrol" was "pardon me ma'am do you have the time".

Anyway, here is my question. What the hell is this song about? Does anything crystalize for anyone? How about a random line that popped into your head? A visual? Any ideas or direction would be greatly appreciated.

First thing is (our/your/my?) has got to be "my bluff", otherwise it feels kind of wimpy.

Is it enough not to fade away

Calling my bluff

Out on patrol at the county line

You got to make it tough

There's no easy with you

There's no easy without

I'd rather not call you in

Throw you down

Put on the cuffs

First thing that came to mind...

Thanks, Lee.

Does it change anything if I say that "bluff" was intended to rhyme with "enough" and that the line "bluff" appeared is only a partial?

I definitely should have mentioned that.

So it is really like this:

Is it enough

Not to fade away

Calling my bluff

.................

Out on patrol

At the county line

I'm gonna have my way..."

"Out on patrol at the county line

Lookin for love and you were lookin fine..."

Only you can resolve this. A dream is your unconscious mind communicating to your conscious mind. You've already got imagery. Keep pondering it, meditating over the seed you've got. Something will come to you.

Is it enough

Not to fade away

Calling __ bluff

Out on patrol

at the county line

pardon me ma'am, do you have the time

[...sense of fire...]
