COVERING LCK! Brooklyn Sunday

I had a little free time this Sunday afternoon, so I decided to take a shot at LCK's "Brooklyn Sunday".

I was playing from memory, so it's more a re-imagining than a cover. Since I recorded this version LCK sent me a lead sheet and his version, so I'm going to go back and try to do a more accurate recording in the next couple of weeks. But to keep things rolling until then, I thought I would post my version from today:

Thank. You wrote a great song though, and it deserves an accurate cover.
:thu:

I guess so.

Can you send me the file so I can do background vocals on it?

I've been singing along to it in my apartment. It sounds really cool...

So here's an updated version of the tune. Lee suggested that I tweak the melody a little on the verses, which I've done. This created a simpler rhythm, which had to be incorporated into the lyric. I'm not sold 100% on the "perfect day in June" line, but it's there for now. As for the rest, including the changes suggested by Lee, I likes it a lot. (I just wish I were a better guitar player...)

This arrangement incorporates some of the feel that Ram gave the song.

I hope you like it.
