Challenge - write a song using only a I-V-vi-IV chord progression.

I think you cheated on the bridge, but otherwise it's a really nice song.

I can't recall or make out all the words, but as I recall the lyric is good too.

Maybe you could re-post them so we don't have to go file diving?

I really like the fade out!

And as is typical with your songs, this is one is still rattling around in my head.

Speaking of songs rattling around in my head, I've got a miserable cold, but I promise to record and upload my version of "Socks and Shoes" this week! That song keeps popping in on my mind at odd moments.

Everyone talks about Lead Vocalist Syndrome, but I suffer from Lead Guitarist Syndrome :o. The original solo continued for another 30 odd bars , and when I finally put on my producer hat I realized that the solo was almost completely unnecessary  - thus the quick fade out.

Here's the lyric - there are still some clunkers in there, but part of writing on deadline is being able to let it go even when things are not ideal.

Think About You

When you're in homeroom

He's looking at you

When you're on Facebook

He's looking for you

When you're in Starbucks

He's coming right towards you

Because you're super cute

And he wants to know the things you do

And if you want a latte too

When he asked you out

You were floating on thin air

Finally a boy who noticed

Those things you do with your hair

This is the way you learn

That love isn't always fair

Now when you're in homeroom

He's thinking about her

When you ask about Friday

He says he isn't sure

When you see them together

Your tears turn it into a blur

Because he is just fourteen

I know I did the same thing

Growing up makes some people mean

When he asked you out

You were floating on thin air

Finally a boy who noticed

Those things you do with your hair

This is the way you learn

That love isn't always fair

I think about you

I think about you

I think about you
