Members Shenaniganizer
Thrash metal, death metal, metalcore, you name it. I can't seem to think of any that are three-piece.. I've never thought it could be pulled off too well.

DoF and Fetus both have had times when they were four-man groups as well though.

Members thinkpad20
There's HEAPS of bands like this. Yes indeed, but it brings up the question of what the OP was looking for... if you're talking about having only three people up on stage, regardless of what they're doing, and whether or not that can work, well yes although it's not very common. But if you're talking about the sonic implications live of having only bass, drums and guitar then a three-piece and a four-piece with a vocalist are equivalent... Members cmercein8
I like playing in a three piece infinitely better than playing with four or more. The only problem is getting that 'big' sound from only three dudes.
