A supplement to the Rank the Amps You've Owned thread; I think speakers can make or break your tone much the same as an amp can. List 'em from best to worst!

My list:

Scumback Greenbacks

Scumback G12H-30

Celestion Greenbacks

WGS Retro 30's

Celestion GT75

Sheffield 5150

Peavey XXX

Celestion V30

Soldano/Eminenve X12000

I'll bite. I don't consider any of these worse than the others, just personal preference.

Eminence P50E

Eminence Texas Heat

Celestion V30

Celestion Century Vintage

Celestion Century

It depends too much on the application and amp they're paired with to put them in a list like that IMO.

I agree. But so does making "best amps you've owned" depend on application and which speakers they're paired with. And making lists is just fun. :)

Depends on application, really. Right now, what works best for me is the WGS green beret/reaper combo. But I have owned all of these.

EDITED TO REPRESENT ORDER FROM FAVORITE TO LEAST FAVORITE

WGS Green Beret/Celestion Greenback

WGS Reaper/Celestion g12h30

Celestion 65/WGS et65

Eminence Private Jack

WGS Veteren 30

Eminenc v12

Eminence Governor

Celestion g12t75

Celestion Vintage 30

The greenbacks/g12h30s (green beret/reaper) seem to be my go-to. I like the WGS variations just as much as the celestions.

EDIT: This list doesn't include the 10" speakers that I have used and liked.

G12H30 (teh bast)

Eminence Legend (grainy and shit)

Which Legend? There's 4 different 12" Legends, three 10", and a 15".

12's

I couldn't really find anything bad with the first 3. I'd like to revisit others with different amps.

Eminence Texas Heat

Reverend Alltone 1250

Eminence GB128

Peavey Scorpion

WGS British Lead 80

Peavey Sheffield

Peavey Scorpion

Celestion V30

Eminence Delta Pro 12A (I don't like gain through these, YMMV)

Eminence Commonwealth

10's

I didn't get to compare them but I have experience with and liked a Weber 10F150T (50 watt) and a pair of Eminence Ramrods

I'm definitely into trying the 55hz reaper, I just have no cause or cab to at this juncture
